Hi, did you manage to discover a solution?
Unfortunately, no. Since I posted the first research, Groove Music was able to download most 70% of my music library'due south art, including creative person info and pics. However, it is clear that these art files are non from the embedded mp3 idtag. My library yet has many blank art for the music and even the May 2020 update didn't prepare this.

As y'all can see from the screenshot, Groove Music app is not displaying album art of MP3 files that are in the default music library, which available locally on the PC and also on OneDrive. I take tried resetting, deleting databases, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It only displays just a handful of anthology art. No artist info is displayed compared to quondam behavior where y'all could read artist's bio. No longer, that is gone. This behavior changes when I point the Groove Music library folder to a unlike music folder over my network with the same exact corporeality music files (a harddrive continued to my router that I use for backup and media server) and then Groove Music displays all the metadata and operates properly. Please assist in the matter, I don't understand why Groove Music is unable to read metadata when the same files are in the default music folder, but reads everything fine in a different binder.

My feel is very similar to yours that Groove app tin display near anthology art but not all of them while the music files are stored in Microsoft OneDrive. If I movement the albums to a local drive, say Music folder and delete them from Groove, the anthology art will show up successful. While in local drive, I can even see the anthology fine art of each music file in particular pane of File Explorer. Just once the albums are moved back to OneDrive, some album art will be missing. This is quite abrasive. By the way, my Samsung S10 music player can display all album art without problems.

Not only similar, information technology is the exact same problem we have but we tin't seem to make it mainstream enough for MS Groove team to set information technology. Anthology art that is downloaded overtime right now isn't even derived from the metadata that is embedded in the mp3 files, Groove downloads these off the net and sometimes there are mismatches. I don't remember there are many people using this app for music and it got messed up since MS removed Groove from being a complete music service.
And also practise not forget nearly the runtime broker running your CPU 25% or more than in the background while Groove is open. 🤦♂️
